Chess Association of Punjab is pleased to inform you that Punjab Chess Championship 2012 (re-scheduled) is going to be held from 24th May (arrival) to 27th May (departure) at MARS Hotel, 810-C, Akbar Chowk, Moulana Shoukat Ali road, Faisal Town Lahore.
It will be a 9 round swiss league event with time control of 45 minutes plus 15 seconds cumulative increment for each move starting from the first move. All the districts affiliated with CAP are invited to participate according to their quota (see invitation). All the players falling under Quota will be provided free accomodation at MARS Hotel plus breakfast. TA/DA shall also be provided. Open entries shall also be accepted from individuals on payment of Rs.1000 even at the venue between 11am to 2pm on 24th May, National Masters will not be charged the entry fee. Top Ten players shall qualify for upcoming National Chess Championship expected to be held 4th June in Quetta. LIVE broadcast of top two boards will be available here.

PUNJAB CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP 2012
On behalf of the President of Chess Association of Punjab, I have the pleasure to inform you that Punjab Chess Championship 2012 is going to be held from 24th May (arrival) to 27th May (departure) at MARS Hotel, 810-C, Akbar Chowk, Moulana Shoukat Ali road, Faisal Town Lahore. (See schedule)
All affiliated districts with CAP is requested to participate according to their quota given below:

All district associations are requested to send the names of qualified players not later than 23rd May, written on the letter head of respective association (attested by authorized person).
Chess Association of Punjab shall provide following facilities to all the players falling under district quota:
Free accommodation at MARS Hotel from 24th May (11am) to 27th May (3pm).Breakfast
Cold drinks/ tea twice a day (for all the participants)
TA/DA
Beside the above quota open entries shall also be accepted from individuals on payment of Rs.500. National Masters will not be charged the entry fee though no further facilities will be provided unless fall under the district quota. Open entrant shall not be entitled to TA/DA or accommodation. Open entries shall be accepted even on 24th May at th venue from 11am to 02pm.
It will be a 9 round Swiss league event with a time control of 45 minutes plus 05 seconds cumulative increment for each move starting from the first move. Ties shall be broken by Median-Buchholz, Buchholz and Progress respectively.
Cash Prizes shall be announced before start of round 1.
Top Ten players shall qualify for upcoming National Chess Championship expected to be held on 4th June this year at Quetta.
All the Districts are required to pay the annual affiliation fee before start of round 1.
