The 3rd London Chess Classic will take place 3rd-12th December 2011 and will again be at the Olympia Conference Centre. This time there will be an additional player making it a 9 round 9 player event.
The tournament will change format slightly with the addition of one more player, making the UK’s most prestigious tournament even stronger. Each day, one player will have a day off and will assist the LCC commentary team both at Olympia and in the internet broadcast, making the Classic even more exciting to watch.

Format: Nine player all play all. Eight rounds each.
Category: Based on live ratings the London Chess Classic is currently category 19 and 2700+.
Rules: Classical time control 40/2, 20/1, g/15'+30". Sofia Rules will apply with three points for a win.
Prize fund: €160,000 before tax. Below are the participants!
