The highest league tournament of the Armenian 72nd championship will be held in Yerevan from January 11 to 22, 2012. GMs Tigran L. Petrosian, Zaven Andriasian, Avetik Grigoryan, Hrant Melkumyan, Arman Pashikian, Robert Hovhannisyan, Samvel Ter-Sahakyan, Ashot Anastasian, Artashes Minasian, Levon Babujian, Hrair Simonian, IM Karen Grigoryan will take part in it.
The highest league tournament of the Armenian women's 67th championship will be held in Yerevan on the same days. 12 chess players will take part in it, among them are WGMs Maria Kursova, Evgeniya Doluhanova, Nelly Aginian, Naira Movsisian.
